More than $600 was charged on a stolen credit card at the Lynchburg Wal-Mart, and police are looking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible.
The Lynchburg Police Department is looking for the woman who they say made purchases at the Lynchburg Wal-Mart in July 24 and 25 totaling $644.
The Campbell County Sheriff’s office is investigating the theft of the victim’s wallet at well, which held the card used in Lynchburg’s fraud case.
The suspect is described as a white woman wearing a maroon or dark red short-sleeved shirt.
Anyone with information on the crime, the suspects or the vehicle involved is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (888) 798-5900.
Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
