Woman arrested in stabbing of Lynchburg man

A Lynchburg man is in the hospital and a city woman is behind bars after a Thursday night stabbing.
According to Lynchburg Police, Sylvester Anthony, 58, was found stabbed several times in his chest and stomach area after police responded to an emergency call from the 1600 block of 15th Street at 10:33 p.m.
Anthony was taken to the emergency room at Lynchburg General Hospital, where he undewent surgery and according to police, was in stable condition at last check.
Brenda Joyce Poole, 50, was arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding.
She is being held without bond in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
