Some local students go door-to-door giving the community information about a state health insurance program that makes doctor visits, vaccinations, dental care and much more *affordable*.
It’s called “Famis.“
Radford University students have already knocked on the door of more than 300 homes and businesses this summer. In addition to getting school credit, they’re also helping people in the area who have uninsured kids or know someone who does. “It’s extremely rewarding especially just being out in the community and being able to talk to individuals one of one…says Radford student Kara Nuckols.
