DJ 101.5 “The Planet” - “Now as you know today is a big day in the history of the United States and we all definately need to take time to remember what happened seven years ago… on the 7th anniversary of 9/11. Please take the time today to remember those who lost their lives… also the men and women that are serving to help protect our country…“
At Virginia Tech….
Carlin Crowder/Tech student - “We came out this morning to set up 2,977 flags, as you can see, and each flag symbolizes one victim from the attacks…“
Damion Blake/Tech student - “I see American patriotism is the first thing that came to my mind. Then it brought me back to that day… 9/11.“
DJ - “So I really hope you take the time today to remember this because there’s a lot of talk about how it seems that people are not remembering what happened on September 11…“
Sam Zalok/Tech student - “I honestly didn’t remember it until I saw the flags, so… but once I did, I did remember it. It’s not on the forefront of people’s minds anymore; it’s been a while.. so… I think people do remember, they just need a reminder every now and then.“
Carlin Crowder/Tech student - “We just want to remind everybody and remember those that were lost and remember the family’s of those that were lost…“
