The fast food giant “Sonic” is at the center of a lawsuit between an Ohio development company and the town of Blacksburg. Fairmount University Realty Trust filed the lawsuit last week.

It appeals the town’s decision to deny a special use permit to build a Sonic drive in restaurant on business 460.

The company wanted Sonic to be part of the First and Main development that’s slated to open in October.

According to court papers, Fairmount believes it is being discriminated against.

The town has not yet filed a response.
