Christiansburg Police say three teenagers are in big trouble for breaking into and stealing from more than two dozen cars.
Officers say the Easter car break-in bandits smashed their way into 29 cars between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. The thieves targeted cars on East Main Street, Forest Street, Craig Street, Republic Road, High Street, Sunnyside Drive, Park Street, Depot Street, Phlegar Street, Harless Street, and North Drive according to investigators. Police say the bandits caused more than $8,000 in damage and property loss.
Police named one of the teenagers who they arrested. Officers tell us they charged 18-year-old Thomas Clyde Turpin from Pulaski with three felonies. Investigators say charges are pending against two other juveniles.
Police tell us much of the stolen property has been recovered.

Why smack this errant child and his cohorts on the hand they should be charged as an adults and not coddle like an infant.
Send the right message now and deal with the rest in similar fashion.
