FloydFest success! Many of you traveled down to the popular New River Valley festival in the past week.
Organizers tell 10 on your side this year was even more popular than recent years and that translates into more money for the festival, vendors, and the community.
Planner Kris Hodges says about 12,000 people showed up and brought in an estimated $2 million. “I talked to many people…the morning is when I think the businesses really flourished and at night time people are obviously here at FloydFest enjoying the music.“
The Green Light Café out of North Carolina is one of several vendors that attended the festival.
They made about $9,000.
