Dominion Virginia Power is extending its Fan Care program to part of Southwest Virginia. The program gives free fans to eligible, elderly people to keep cool during the summer. Some local area Agencies on Aging will screen applicants and give out the fans to those who meet certain qualifications. To be eligible, you must live in Virginia, be 60-years-old or older, have a need for cooling assistance, and meet certain income requirements. If you have questions, call (800) 552-3402.
