Helping the community is part of the Virginia Tech tradition and now there’s an easier way volunteers can get the tools they need to lend a helping hand. The Service Learning Center has put together the Hokie Hands Trailer.
Perry Martin with the Learning Center says having the right tools can make a project successful.
The 5’ by 10’ trailer is equipped with landscaping and construction tools, tables, chairs, tents and creativity kits. Each of the kits is full of the items kids love like crayons, glitter, fuzzy wire, so volunteers have what they need for children’s programs.
Members of the Virginia Tech community can either check out the tools or rent the entire trailer for free depending on the need.
