The accident is now clear. The road is back open.

State Police say several cars stopped on the highway, after spotting a dog on the road.
Troopers tell us the tanker truck’s driver swerved to miss hitting the cars, and ending up flipping his rig.
The driver is not seriously hurt.

Updated 1:35 p.m.
An overturned tanker truck is blocking part of Interstate 81.
The accident is near the Volvo plant in Dublin.
VDOT says the accident has closed the left southbound lane of I-81, and there’s an eight mile back-up.
EMS crews took the truck’s driver to Pulaski Community Hospital.
Clean-up crews now tell us the tanker is not leaking diesel.
