A local school puts on the 3 Musketeers play to raise money for Jarrett Lane memorial scholarships. You can watch the live performance at Narrows High School through May 11. All proceeds benefit the Jarrett Lane Memorial and Governor’s School scholarships, as well as, the Lexi Thompson and Melissa Lawrence Mann scholarships.  They died in a car accident in 2004.

Narrows High School released the following information:

For an evening of fun and laughter, come see The 3 Musketeers performing live on stage May 2, 3, 9, and 10 at 7 PM, and May 3, 4, 10, and 11 at 2 PM. All proceeds benefit the Jarrett Lane Memorial Scholarship, the Jarrett Lane Governor’s School Scholarship, and the Lexi Thompson and Melissa Lawrence Mann Scholarships. Performances will be in the Narrows High School Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults; children under 12 are $4.

Both Narrows High School and Giles High School students are collaborating in this hilarious production written by a teacher at Narrows High School. Based on the classic novel by Alexander Dumas, children of ALL ages will enjoy this swashbuckling comedy. With the intent of keeping the humor written in the original story while making it enjoyable for all ages, author Karen Letts wrote the script eight years ago and produced it at a theater she and her husband founded in the suburbs of Houston, Texas.

After a conversation with Jarrett Lane’s mother, Letts got permission to hold the fundraiser. Jarrett graduated from Narrows High School in 2003 and was a victim of the Virginia Tech Tragedy. Lexi Thompson and Melissa Mann were victims of an automobile accident in 2004. Melissa is a 1996 graduate of Narrows High School. Lexi’s mother, Lori, and grandmother, Millie, both work at Narrows High School. Melissa was Millie’s daughter and Lori’s sister.
