Police investigate deadly accident in Patrick Co.

An early morning accident leaves one man dead.
State Police say it happened just before 7:30 Sunday morning on Route 8 in Patrick Co. about 1/2 mile north of Route 9307.
Police say 29-year-old Derrick Shane Coleman of Stuart, lost control of his 1994 Mercury two door car, ran off the road and hit an embankment.
Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say he was wearing a seatbelt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
