Radford University offers President an extension
The Radford University Board of Visitors says it reached an “informal agreement” with University President Penelope Kyle to have her stay on as the school’s president for five more years

The Radford University Board of Visitors says it reached an “informal agreement” with University President Penelope Kyle to have her stay on as the school’s president for five more years.
The new deal would begin on July 1st.
“I am honored to be asked to continue as president of Radford University for five more years. I believe this university is on the verge of becoming one of the nation’s leading public comprehensive institutions. I am excited about the opportunity to lead this great university toward a promising and successful future,” President Kyle said in a news release.
Kyle is Radford University’s first woman president, and sixth president overall. She says one of her goal is to help lead the school’s plan to make RU one of the top 50 masters universities in the nation, according to the news release. You can read more about the plan by clicking here.
So far, the university added its first doctoral program in psychology, with an emphasis in rural mental health according to the school.
