Virginia Tech recently asked students to submit videos to their YouTube site on what it means to be a Hokie.

Sophomore Tom Copenhaver was the first place winner. The sophomore geography major says the project was a team effort and classmates Spencer Ferguson and Kevin Do composed the music and wrote the lyrics.

According to Tech, the second place winner was Liz McClendon of Poquoson, Va., a graduate student in the School of Education in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences; and third place winner Ian Heflin of Remington, Va., a sophomore geosciences major in the College of Science.
