Volvo and the union have reached a tentative agreement.
Tim Barnes, Vice President of UAW 2069, called 10 On Your Side with the news around 8:15 Tuesday evening.
Barnes says union workers will review the contract offer either Friday or Saturday at Edwards Hall at New River Community College. After they’ve had the chance to look over the offer, union members will vote whether to accept the contract.
Until then, Barnes says workers will stay on the picket line.
The last contract expired January 31 at midnight. The workers have been on strike ever since.
