VT holds workshops to increase tourism on Parkway

Virginia Tech researchers will hold two community workshops to collect ideas on how to boost tourism in the Rocky Knob area of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The first will be held tomorrow from 4-7 p.m at the Jacksonville Center in Floyd.
The second meeting will be on Friday from 1-4 p.m. in the community room at Patrick Henry Community College in Stuart.

Tech researchers received a $266,000 grant to find ways to increase tourism in the Rocky Knob recreation area.
 
Local government officials, activists, business owners and the general public are invited to attend.
