State police are investigating an accident that left three people dead and sent two others to the hospital.
Investigators tell us 33 year-old William Smith was driving a Dodge Durango on Interstate 77 when he lost control, crossed the median and hit a tractor trailer head on.
Smith, his wife Sandra and daughter Kaylee, all from Ontario, were killed.
Their other two daughters, whose names haven’t been released, were taken to a North Carolina hospital.
Police tell us the driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.
