State Police receive a special quilt honoring the victims of the April 16th tragedy.
A group of quilters from Virginia, and others from states like Wisconsin, Illinois, and Pennsylvania made it, according to troopers. A member of the group is the sister of a State Police Captain in Salem.
State Police Superintendent Colonel Steven Flaherty presented the quilt to the Salem division headquarters today (Tuesday, April 15th), for their response and assistance on April 16th, according to a news release from State Police.
State Police saysthe quilt will be a permanent reminder when displayed at the Division headquarters in Salem, that the 32 victims will always remain in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
