Kathy Thornton, associate dean for graduate programs at the UVa's School of Engineering & Applied Science, reacts; Thornton's daughter graduated from Tech and about five years ago lived on the same floor of the same dorm where the first shooting took place. She also took classes in the building where the later shootings ensued: LISTEN
