Twenty year old Henry Lee. He was one of 32 killed at Virginia Tech on April 16th. Today -- his funeral. It was held at William Flemming High School where henry graduated in 2006. He was salutatorian.
"The past 12 years have been an adventure during which I have encountered many obstacles," said Henry who is one of 10. He and his family came here from Vietnam.
"In May I became an American citizen which I am very proud of," said Henry with a smile. "And now I'm standing in front of you as a graduating senior of William Flemming High School!>
His family says this is how they want people to remember him. Only fitting to show it today.
"Do not let the small things in life get in your way," said Henry, "but simply work out the detours to your advantage."
And Henry's brothers say that's exactly what he did.
"He's been a great kid, a great brother," says his brother Long.
Friends call him a role model. People who came to his funeral today look at pictures of the person they remember as full of energy, with an infectious smile.
"I can't believe he died that young," says his brother Long.
Henry's senior quote, by Ralph Waldo Emerson: To finish the moment, to find the journeys end in every step of the road, to live the greatest number of good hours is wisdom.
