Members of the Virginia Tech community participate in a candlelight vigil on the drillfield on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, to mark the one-year anniversary of the Virginia Tech shootings.

As the sun fades on this day of remembrance, tiny flickering lights take it’s place. The flame is passed from one candle to 32 made of the same wax, one for each person lost.
