3-year-old found alone at Danville movie theater

Danville Police say the guardian of the child has been found, and the child has been reunited with them.

A 3-year-old boy was found alone by employees at Danville Stadium Cinemas Tuesday at about 11:30 a.m.

Lt. John Henderson said theater employees gave the little boy popcorn and tried to locate his parents or the group he was with. Then they called the Danville Police Department.

Henderson said the child’s identity had not been determined as of 2:30 p.m. and the boy had been turned over to Social Services.

Police say there had been an event with a child care center at the theater.
