A West Thomas Street resident in Danville accidentally shot himself Tuesday night while cleaning his personal gun, police say.
The 54-year-old man’s daughter arrived to find her father with a shot through his left shoulder, said Lt. D.L. Haley.
The man was taken to the hospital, treated and released.
