Infants’ deaths investigated

The Henry County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the deaths of two infants

According to police, 5-month-old Chaston Jeremiah Craig was found head first in what appeared to be a bucket of waste.  Family members told police they believe the child fell off a bed into the bucket.

Just an hour later police were called to investigate the death of 4-month-old Danetta McLaughlin. 

In this instance, family members also believe the child fell this time from a couch.

Police are waiting on reports on the exact causes of death.  In the mean time, Social Services are also investigating.
