Body found on side of road in Gretna

Pittsylvania County Sheriff officers are investigating a body found on the side of the road in Gretna. At around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, deputies received a call reporting a body on Rockford School Road. After arriving, they found a deceased, African-American male in his early to mid twenties, said Captain Motley. At this time he has not been identified, and no wounds were reported on his body.
