Federal prosecutors drop charges against a former Henry County Sheriff’s deputy.
Jason Burton had been charged in connection with the corruption scandal, that led to the arrest of former Sheriff Frank Cassell and multiple deputies.
The charges against former deputy Burton involved an illegal gun.
The feds say some members of the sheriff’s department sold drugs and weapons seized from criminals, as well as used a home in Martinsville for sex.
