A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a South Boston man early Sunday morning, according to Virginia State Police.
William Henry Elliott, 52, was traveling east on Route 613 when he lost control of his 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The vehicle struck a tree and overturned. The wreck occurred about two miles east of Route 360. Elliott died at the scene, police dispatcher Rod McCoy said.
