Danville police were busy last night, responding to two shootings. At about 10:45 a witness reported hearing someone yell to a victim to give up their money, said Lieutenant Scott Eanes. The victim was shot in the leg, but managed to get to Express Run on Richmond Boulevard where he called the police. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Danville Regional Medical Center. Police are still investigating.

They are also investigating a seemingly random shooting at Pleasantview Apartments, Eanes said. A man reported he was standing outside when an unknown black male approached him and shot him in the leg. The victim “couldn’t tell us anything,” said Eanes, as he was just trying to get away from the shooter. The victim was also shot in the leg and taken to Danville Regional with non-life threatening injuries.
