Police are talking to two men possibly involved with an early morning robbery Monday on Richmond Road.
A Yellow Cab taxi driver arrived at Purdum Woods Apartments to pick up a fair just before 3 a.m., said Lieutenant Scott Eanes.
When he arrived he was approached by two black males. One, with dreadlocks and wearing a black t-shirt got into the back seat of the car, while the other, wearing blue jeans and a green and white t-shirt negotiated the cost of a ride with the driver, said Eanes.
The man in the backseat of the car reached for the driver’s money and cell phone and hit him. Both suspects took off running. The driver was not seriously injured. The investigation is ongoing.
