Eden Police Arrest Five In Series Of Break-ins

Eden police have charged five people in a series of break-ins.
During the past several weeks, police have received eight reports of residential and commercial breaking and entering in the central area of the city, police said. All of the reported breaking and entering involved the larceny of property and money.
Thursday, investigators got arrest warrants for five suspects. They were arrested without incident. All charges are felonies, and all suspects are scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on Wednesday.
Charged were:
Jeffrey Doyle Travis, 43, 208 Adams St., in Eden, is charged with two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering, and one count each of possession of stolen property and safecracking. Bail was set at $95,000.
Ann Marie Duda White, 43, of 208 Adams St., in Eden, is charged with accessory after the fact. Bail was set at $10,000.
Michael Luther White, 16, 208 Adams St., Eden, is charged with three counts each of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. Bail was set at $65,000.
Stephen Logan Cochran, 18, 631 Price Grange Road, Stoneville, is charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. Bail was set at $10,000.
John Michael Newsome, 17, 208 Adams St., is charged with three counts of breaking and entering, three counts of larceny after breaking and entering, and one county of safecracking. Bail was set at $75,000.
