Electrical Short Circuit Causes House To Catch Fire

An electrical short circuit catches a house on fire early Saturday morning in Danville.

The City Fire Department responded to a the fire in the 2200 block of North Main Street around 4:00 a.m. Saturday. Crews say they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the attic. The fire throughout the attic prevented firefighters from going into the home. Crews were able to get the fire under control in about an hour and a half. The home has heavy damage to the main roof and kitchen area.

The Fire Department says an electrical short circuit started the fire.

No one was hurt in the fire.
