God’s Pit Crew heading out to help tornado victims

God’s Pit Crew has teams heading down to Tennessee and Arkansas, scenes of devastation after tornadoes struck Tuesday night.

Donations will be collected in the parking of Schewel’s Furniture on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Items needed include bottle water, non-perishable canned food, hand can openers and new small blankets, as well as cleaning supplies, such as Clorox, Pine Sol and Lysol.

Personal grooming items are also needed: toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, combs, brushes, bath towels, washclothes, flashlights with batteries, toilet paper, paper towels, rubbing alcohol, peroxide and small Bibles.

Money is also needed, but clothing is not.
