A preliminary hearing is set for one of the men charged in the double fatal shooting at Virginia Carolina Homes last May.
J’Raad Amajh Simpson, 25, will have a preliminary hearing March 10 at 10:30 a.m. He had a bond hearing Monday in Pittsylvania County General District Court. He was denied bond, according to a press release.
Simpson, of 1143 Highway 62, Milton, N.C., has been charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of Zachary Titus and Mark Hopkinson. He was also charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
Investigators Billy Chaney and Mike Wallace of the Narcotics Task Force - which takes in the Danville Police and the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office - arrested Simpson Jan. 8 in the city.
Pittsylvania Sheriff Mike Taylor said the investigation continues and more arrests are expected.
