Delegate Don Merricks, (R-16th House District) is pleased to announce his appointment by Speaker William J. Howell, (R-Stafford) to the New College Institute Board of Directors. “I requested this appointment because I see the potential this school offers to the growth of Martinsville, Henry County and our region,” said Merricks. “The New College Institute can play a major role in enhancing the future of individuals willing to take advantage of what it has to offer. I look forward to working with Dr. Dorsey and fellow board members in bringing the Institute to the forefront of higher education in Virginia.”
Delegate Don Merricks was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, 16th House District, in November 2007. He represents the City of Martinsville, Henry County and Pittsylvania County. He serves on the following House committees: Health, Welfare and Institutions; Counties, Cities and Towns and Militia, Police and Public Safety.
