Martinsville Police say they caught a fugitive after a short chase from the home he was found at.
When officers went to serve warrants on Joseph Taylor III, police say Taylor ran out the back door, but only got 100 yards away before an officer used his stun gun to stop Taylor.
The chase happened on Bob Gregory Street, around 1:20 p.m. today (Friday May 2nd).
When police searched Taylor, investigators say they found a plastic bag containing an off-white, powder-like substance. It will be sent to the state crime lab for analysis.
Officers charged Taylor with resisting arrest. Taylor also faces previous charges of failure to appear in court in Henry County, and contempt of court in Pittsylvania County.
