Danville Police are looking for a minor who allegedly shot a puppy yesterday evening on Levelton Street. At around 6:30 p.m., police responded to a call on the 100 block of Levelton Street after someone reported a dog being shot. When they arrived, the resident told officers their one-year-old Labrador Retriever mix had been shot in the right hip. After further investigation, police determined a juvenile cutting through the victim’s yard had shot the dog, and recovered the firearm used. The dog was taken to a veterenarian for treatment and preliminary indications were that it would recover. Once caught, the juvenile will face charges for animal cruelty, underage possession of a firearm, discharging a firearm and trespassing.
