Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office seeks clues to break-in

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is looking for someone who broke into a Mill Creek Road home Tuesday night.
Sheriff Mike Taylor said the county 911 E-center got a call Tuesday about 8:45 p.m., and the caller reported that an intruder had broken into their home while they were sleeping, according to a press release.
Deputies arrived at the scene at 8:53 p.m. and found the homeowner alone in the residence. The intruder had fled and deputies searched the area, but the suspect was not found.
The canine unit was called in along with assistance from the Chatham Police Department. They combed the area trying to find the suspect.
Investigators were on scene for about 6 hours examining forensic evidence. The victim was not hurt in the incident.
Taylor said the suspect wore a white T-shirt with a red-colored jacket. The suspect is further described as being a male, small build and about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall.
