Danville Police arrest a man in connection with an early Sunday morning shooting.
Investigators believe Jerle Wilson shot a 29-year-old Danville man in the finger and stomach, at a home in the 300 block of Plum Street, around 2:40 a.m.
Witnesses tell officers that the victim and Wilson started verbally fighting before the shooting.
Wilson faces charges of aggravated malicious wounding, and using of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Wilson is being held without bond at the Danville City Jail.
The man who was shot is being treated at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Police tell us they are still investigating.
