Danville Police are investigating a late night shooting.
Officers say a man was shot three times at the Pit Stop Mart on Piney Forest Road around 11:55 p.m., Tuesday night, August 26th.
The man told investigators that another man in a silver car shot him, while the victim was leaning in the driver’s window. The shooting happened in the parking lot of the business.
EMS crews took the victim to Danville Regional Medical Center, then Duke University Medical Center. He is expected to survive.
