Henry County deputies arrest two more people they say were involved in the robbery and murder of a man over the weekend.
Officers say three men went into the home of Heath Alloway just after 9:00 p.m. this past Sunday, on Erwin Street in Martinsville. Witnesses tell investigators that minutes later, a fight and robbery happened.
Officers say one of the men shot Alloway in the neck, and they believe drugs were involved.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says they have since arrested a 17-year-old young man, and 18-year-old Joshua Claytor in connection with the crimes. Both face first degree murder and robbery charges.
Investigators also issued criminal charges against another 17-year-old, Christopher Wharton. They believe he fired the gun. Wharton faces first degree murder, robbery, and two gun charges.
Officers believe a fourth man may be involved, who drove a getaway car that is believed to be a black Dodge Stratus.
