Taxi driver robbed at gun point

Police are investigating the robbery of a taxi driver that occurred late Wednesday night.

At 11:20 p.m., a female taxi driver reported that she was robbed at gunpoint while picking up a fare on the 100 block of Vance Street, states a release from the police department.

As the driver pulled up, two young black males wearing dark clothing entered the vehicle, brandished handguns and demanded money, she told police.

Suspects took a small amount of cash and the driver’s company cell phone before fleeing on foot.
