Danville Police say a tractor-trailer accident knocked out electricity to part of the city this morning (Tuesday, July 1st).
Officers tell us William Keesee was backing his truck out of a business on the corner of Poplar Street and Floyd Street, and hit a guide wire for a utility pole. Investigators say the wire pulled down the pole.
The accident knocked out power to more than 100 customers on the South side of Danville, and caused about $5,000 in damage to the utility pole.
Police charged Keesee with improper backing.
