This weekend, I am proud to say I was “one of those parents.”

My husband and I took our daughter to meet the Easter bunny. Yeah I know, this was much more about Mark and me than it was her meeting the rabbit. My husband carried her over to the bunny and placed her in his caring arms as I stood ready to snap away. I was going to capture tears, smiles, laughs, whatever she threw our way.

I was so excited. So was Mark.

When she sat there, unamused with a look of “what are you people doing/waiting for/looking at” on her face… we decided to pick things up. I stood there, in front of complete strangers making frog noises and monkey noises trying to garner a response. My husband sat waving one of her stuffed frog toys.

Finally she smiled, giving us a snapshot of that one moment in her young life.

If only there were someone taking pictures of us so she’ll one day get a laugh at us.

Dawn,
becomig ‘’one of those parents’’ is a wonderful thing I have 3 children and believe me you will be doing more silly things in public than making forg and monkey noises but once people realize you have children they just laugh and go on but it is a wonderful thing being a parent and I will do all kinds of silly things in public just to make my children happy. And Iam sure you will do the same for your daughter
