Over the past week, there has been a lot of talk about a possible dream ticket for the Democrats: the pairing of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Both Hillary and her husband have floated the idea and others have jumped on board including Pennsylvania’s governor.

So far, Obama has swatted down the chatter. But, could it happen?

I put the question to Obama’s biggest cheerleader in Virginia: Governor Tim Kaine.

WARREN :”Would Barack Obama be a good vice president, would you support that idea?”

KAINE: “Oh, he’d be a great vice president, but I want him to be president. He is the right guy to be president.”

WARREN: “But would a Clinton/Obama ticket be the dream ticket?

KAINE: “I don’t know. I think an Obama ticket is the best for Virginia and for the nation. Senator Obama has the ability to get the electoral votes in Virginia in a Democratic column for the first time since 1964.”

Kaine was the first governor outside of Obama home state to endorse the Illinois Senator. He has campaigned with him in states across the country, helped him carry Virginia by a large margin, and often advises the campaign. He has even been mentioned as a possible VP choice for Obama.
