Grocery Store Etiquette

So I was grocery shopping today and picked out some fresh strawberries...I had picked out these two containers of strawberries specifically because there were no bruised berries or moldy berries inside either of them… anyway I went about gathering my short list of items… got to the edge of the check out lanes and remembered I needed to get granola bars… I left my cart and went to retrieve the bars… I was gone a few minutes max…
As I rounded the corner from the cereal bar aisle I noticed a woman “pull up” next to my cart… examine its contents and just as she was reaching into it for my strawberries… I quipped as nicely as possible..."that’s my cart...” she looked a little startled...was she actually going to take the strawberries out of my cart for her own?
She looked at me and said..."those strawberries are beautiful.” I said with a smile… “they sure are...” I threw my bars in the cart and then pushed it to the check out next to her… it was all I could do to keep from telling the clerk that I thought this woman was actually going to take my strawberries… I thought… there is a whole section of them over in the produce aisle… perhaps I am overreacting… but I like my personal space and don’t like anyone to invade it…
I don’t like close talkers… I don’t like close talkers who talk their mouths full of food… I don’t like it when people park too close to one side or the other of a parking space… and I would never reach into another person’s grocery cart on purpose let alone pay any attention to what they are buying…
What else is rude at the grocery store? Cutting in line at the deli meat counter…
Some days going to the store is fun… the people who work there are nice… but sometimes it is my least favorite chore and I will wait until we are out of milk, bread and coffee creamer before going...the coffee creamer may be one of the most important items to keep on hand.. (of course I am kidding a little… but I really like my morning coffee with half and half)
If you have a grocery store etiquette complaint or tip you would like to share… let me know… I’m interested.

1. Men standing so close behind you, you can hear them breathing. I have actually had to stand in front of my cart (to put the cart between us) in order to create a comfortable space.
2. People stop to talk in the middle of the isle, completely blocking it and ignoring the folks waiting to get past.
3. Parents allowing small children to run around the isle they’re in, often taking things off the shelves and leaving them on the floor.
4. People chatting up the check-out clerk long after the transaction is completed when there is a line waiting.
