I went to Blacksburg last night after work to hang out with my mom this morning before work… we had the best time… coffee and a bagel for breakfast and then she helped me run some errands in Christiansburg… while at my sisters house my eyes were immediately drawn to her tulips blooming that are the most perfect shade of Chicago Maroon and Burnt Orange I have ever seen…

I immediately called my sister who works at Virginia Tech to investigate where she had gotten these fabulous works of nature and found nature had a little help from the Horticulture Department at Virginia Tech.  I then called my niece who told me the bulbs are genetically designed to bloom this way… she sent me a link for any fellow Hokies to check out....
