Luckie likes our new floors

Luckie dog has more places than ever in the house to cool his belly now.  As many of you know owning a home takes a lot of work and there is ALWAYS something to be done.  We have spent a lot of time and effort on projects outside the house but not much more than paint on the inside.

We had square wood tiles in the dining room and foyer and carpet in the living room.  All of it had seen better days and we are both fans of hardwood so we looked through some samples and immediately agreed on this hickory wood with a darker rich color to it.  The installers were amazingly fast… they started Monday morning and were finished Tuesday night with the exception of a couple of finishing touches.

Now we need some new furniture as Matt and I have never bought “real” furniture.  Our dining room table purchase from about 6 months ago is our first and only one so far and we have been married almost four years… we have just relied on hand-me-downs that have served their purpose well. 

When I got home last night Matt had moved the TV into the living room and in front of it was a comfy chair and Luckie’s dog bed.. What more do you need huh?

Anyway, from the looks of the photo with this blog Luckie had no problem with the floors… and now that I think about it Luckie doesn’t really have a problem with much of anything… there is a little chipmunk that likes to hang out at the basement door that he tries to make a run at (the chipmunk is too fast and he is too slow) other than that he’s as happy as can be.
