SML Triathlon Here I Come

I recently had someone ask me if I had any interest in taking part in the Smith Mountain Lake Triathlon coming up on May 3rd… at first I had a prior trip planned but since that has now fallen through it looks like I am one of three people now on a team to participate…

A lady named Cindy asked me if I would be the “runner"of the group… she cycles and knows a woman whose son swims and is interested in being a part of the team… it is one thing if you are running for yourself but when you feel like others are counting on you it changes things a little bit… Cindy says it is just for fun but the competitive nature of a “contest” always creeps in a little bit… so now I am training harder than ever to improve on my 5K run time… for the Shamrock Hill run in March I ran a PR of 23:31 and hope to score a new PR with this competition.. right now we are just trying to come up with a name…
