The Smith Mountain Lake Triathlon is this weekend.... and I think I am ready for my running part of the relay team I am on.. My part is a 5k which is a little over 3 miles… I have been taking it easy today and will again tomorrow… about 20 miles logged for the week… I was nervous but it isn’t fun to push yourself so hard you feel bad for the rest of the day…

Instead of striving for perfection I just want to do a good job… I will be waking up very early.. around 6:45 am and for someone who works until midnight.. rarely am I up before the sun… I plan to set a back up alarm to make sure I don’t miss check in.  The event is at the Smith Mountain Lake State Park.

Also, I am excited about the WSLS booth at the Strawberry Festival… it is always a good time in downtown Roanoke and I always indulge in a strawberry treat.  A great day to be down on the market weatherwise… I think I will pick up some flowers while I am there to plant at the house on Sunday…

Can’t believe April is already gone and we are into May now…
