I got the chance to enjoy the beautiful weather and hope you did too… I went for a run and then on my dinner break stopped to buy some “perennials.”
I have spent my short gardening life planting “annuals” for the most part… to me it has been confusing to remember which one blooms each year and which one dies and doesn’t come back… I’ve got it now.. and I like the idea of planting one time and enjoying the benefits for years to come.. but I have noticed annuals tend to have really vibrant colors and blooms… while many of the perennials I have seen aren’t quite as bright… with the exception of azaleas and mountain laurels (I’m sure there are many others but these stick out to me)
So tomorrow before the rain comes in on Thursday I am going to spend the morning planting some wonderful green, purple and white colors.. It will be the first time I have planted anything along our backyard walkway and I am excited about how the finished project will look… most of the seeds I planted weeks ago are growing nicely…
As far as mulch goes we still haven’t finished because we are tearing out old floors to prepare for news ones that are being installed next week…
Luckie dog is doing great! His symptoms seem to be under control and he has actually “slept in” a couple of days… in the past week or so.
